一个学生学习英语的效果好与否,在很大程度上取决于学生对英语所产生的兴趣。对学生的学习而言,兴趣是学习的源泉,是学习的驱动力、创造力、持久力;它表现为专心致志地以巨大热情和耐心去对待、去研究某种活动的产生、发展和变化。兴趣作为认识倾向,它是和一定的情感体验相联系的,它不仅能推动人们去寻求知识,而且对于一个人走向成功之路也是一种催化剂。从某种意义上说,兴趣还是学好知识的最大内驱力,既是学好语言的关键,又是记忆的基础。正如孔子所说:知之者不如好知者,好知者不如乐知者。所以,教师培养学生学习英语的兴趣十分重要,这对“学困生”的作用尤为突出!
Whether a student learns English well or not depends largely on the student’s interest in English. For students’ learning, interest is the source of learning, the driving force, creativity, and endurance of learning. It manifests itself in great enthusiasm and patience to concentrate on the emergence, development and changes of certain activities. As a cognitive tendency, interest is associated with a certain emotional experience that not only motivates people to seek knowledge, but also serves as a catalyst for a person to be successful. In a sense, interest or learning the best drive of knowledge is not only the key to learning the language, but also the basis of memory. As Confucius put it: knowing is better than knowing, knowing is better than knowing. Therefore, it is very important for teachers to cultivate students’ interest in learning English. This is especially true for the role of students who have difficulty studying.
