Canada has established a Space Agency to coordinate the research and development of space technology. Canada's space industry employs 2,600 people, generating 300 million Canadian dollars in output and service revenue each year, of which 70% are exported. The newly formed space agency will have 300 staff and will have 3 billion Canadian dollars by 2000. Canada will establish an Active Service System (MSS) for the United States Space Station.
