木材酸碱度,泛指木材中水溶性物质的酸碱度。通常,以木粉水抽出物的PH值表示之。绝大多数木材的浸提液呈弱酸性,因为木材中含有醋酸、蚁酸以及其他低级酸;只有少数木材呈弱碱性,木材PH值对于木材的变色、胶合、油漆、金属腐蚀等有着密切的关系。木材中酸性物质的含量高,可提高刨花板的平面抗拉强度;酸性物质的含量高,不利于脲醛树脂胶的固化,使固化减慢或完全阻止固化,引起不胶合或降低胶合性能。因此,正确测定木材的PH值,对于人造板工业和合理使用木材有着重要的意义。
