The new transalkylation catalyst, FrH-2, jointly developed by PetroChina Yanshan Petrochemical Company and Beijing University of Chemical Technology, was successfully tested by the company’s Chemicals Division diphenol unit. The operation results show that the catalyst can significantly reduce energy consumption, improve cumene production capacity, and promote the application of broad prospects. Cumene is the raw material for the production of phenol and acetone, as an important organic chemical intermediates.
