Paul Feyerabend was born in Vienna on January 13, 1924. On February 11, 1994, less than a month after he passed his 70th birthday, he died in Genoeilil, a French-speaking district of Switzerland, due to a brain tumor that was unsuitable for surgery. Feyerabend’s growing environment is not rich. He has a wide range of interests, is a very good, curious students. While still in high school, he studied university-level math, physics and astronomy textbooks carefully. His lifelong passion for music came to light when he was young: he played the accordion, went to the violin lessons, loved the opera, he was still singing in a mixed choir, and later he had a vocal lesson at the conservatory. After graduating from high school in spring 1942, Feyerabend was first recruited into the Young Volunteer Labor Forces (Austria was “replenished” into the German Empire in 1938) and was enlisted again in late 1942. He took part in many frontline operations and was hit by a machine-gun bullet in a splinter operation in January 1945, from which he paralyzed beneath his hip. After long-term use of the wheelchair, he finally can walk on crutches again. He had endured the torture of phasic pain throughout his life, and in many public appearances he had survived on a large box of painkillers. He never heard of this event, and few of his autobiographies described it in this respect.
