张思中《适当集中、反复循环,阅读原著、因材施教》的十六字教学法在福州一些普通中学教改实验中已取得较好的效果。在同样使用统编教材,在教学设备、学生的知识能力发展水平大致相等的情况下,为什么这种教学法会取得较大幅度地提高外语教学质量的效果呢?本文以福州市参加教改实验老师的经验为素材,谈谈张思中教学法与其他教学流派的关系,试图探索并分析其理论基础,进一步明确教改实验班的指导思想,从而提出整体改革的设想和措施,推动教改实验的进一步深入发展。张思中教学法的主要内容可以概括为:在短时间内通过适当集中的方式,把语音、词汇、语法等语言知识教授给学生,以反复循环的各种有意识记方式和多种操练,使之得到及时强化。在学生集中记忆大量的词汇和基本掌握较多的语法项目之后,通过课文教
