美国教育心理学家林格伦(H.C.Lindgren)认为,学习小组活动的目的不仅仅是掌握知识技能,还要形成合作的交往关系。然而反思传统的学习方式,我们不难发现,由于初中英语教学长期存在“重知识讲授,轻能力培养”的倾向,学生在学习中很少有交流协作的机会,互助合作的动机和意识十分淡薄。而事实上,让学生掌握语言的交际能力才是语言教学的重要目的。因此,把小组合作学习引入初中英语教学对于学生的语言技能的提高有着极其重要的意义。
