托尼·莫里森是20世纪闻名于美国文坛的黑人女小说家。她的四部重要作品都是以表现美国黑人的命运为主题的。这四部作品包括《最蓝的眼睛》《舒拉》《所罗门之歌》和《黑婴》。《最蓝的眼睛》是莫里森的处女作,同时也是她的成名之作。这部小说通过描写黑人的自卑和想要改变种族类别的心理,反映了在白人主流文化影响下,黑人自我价值的迷失。本文尝试研究《最蓝的眼睛》的思想内涵,希望能对读者起到启发作用。
Tony Morrison is a black female novelist famous in the American literary world in the 20th century. Her four major works are all about the fate of American blacks. These four works include The Bluest Eye, Shura, Song of Solomon and Black Baby. “The Bluest Eye” is Morrison’s debut, but also her fame. By describing the inferiority of black people and the psychological changes they want to change their race category, this novel reflects the loss of the self-worth of blacks under the influence of the white mainstream culture. This article attempts to study the “blue eyes” ideological content, hoping to inspire readers.
