第三采气厂成立于2001年9月10日,目前全厂用工总量为346人,平均年龄28.7岁。具备天然气年生产能力10亿立方米,外供商品气气质达到国家Ⅱ类商品气质指标。主营业务是天然气生产及净化处理管理,天然气产能建设、天然气计量配输和气田维护等。行政区属内蒙古自治区鄂尔多斯市。管辖区域为苏里格气田、阴山南区、贺兰山东区及西峰探区。其中:苏里格气田的勘探面积4万多平方公里,在中区已探明并经过国家储量评定委员会
