谢六逸是我国现代知名的文学家、教育家、新闻学者。他一生酷爱编辑工作。纵观他短促的一生,编辑工作自始至终贯穿其中。 自1921年4月,谢六逸接编文学研究会的机关刊物《文学周报》以来,他先后陆续主编过《言林》、《国民》、《儿童文学》、《趣味》、《文讯》等多种期刊。此外,还为黎明书局、光华书局、文通书局编过一些书籍。抗日战争爆发后,被推选为上海编辑人协会主席。他虽不同于分分秒秒维系于编辑事业的赵家璧等人,将一生中很大部分的精力贡献于我国早期的新闻学研究及新闻教育事业的创建工作。但他以其独特的新闻学者的眼光,审视着编辑工作,执着于编辑工作。 1921年1月中旬至2月间,仍在日本求学的谢六逸,积极地参加了当时在文坛上颇有影响力的文学机构——文学研究会,为第24号会员,与沈雁冰、郑振铎、许地山、孙伏园、王统照等同为该会读书会小说组成员。并且与热衷于编辑工作的沈雁冰、郑振铎等人结下了深厚的友谊。在相互的交往中,谢六逸开始投身于编辑工作,并乐此不疲。他东渡回国,踏入社会的第一份工作就是在上海商务印书馆编译所担任编辑职务。1922年12月1日,“依了上海文学研究会会员的决议,特请谢六逸先生为主任编辑。”(郑振铎语)谢六逸开始单独主编文学研究会的机关刊物《文学周
