2012年7月19日至20日,教育部在上海召开首届全国民办高校党的建设工作座谈会。各省 (区、市)党委教育工作部门负责同志、71所民办高校党组织负责同志、22所独立学院党委负责同志代表150余人参加了座谈会,三江学院校长、党委副书记董新华教授出席座谈会并做交流发言。会上还颁发了由教育部思想政治工作司、全国高校党建研究专业委员会民办高校分会
