5月18日,省长袁纯清率领省级有关部门负责同志专程赶往南郑和勉县检查震损水库应急除险工作,实地考察了钟宝寨、石马湾和庆家宅3座高危水库。袁纯清指出,汶川地震造成部分水库出现险情,是目前最大的安全隐患,一定要把震损水库的排险加固作为抗震救灾、防止次生灾害的一项重要工作切实抓好。必须切实加强监测,排除隐患,防止次生灾害发生,确保人民群众生命财产安全。
On May 18, Governor Yuan Chunqing led the responsible comrades of the relevant provincial departments to go to Nanzheng and Mianxian for emergency relief work in Zhenjiang Reservoir, and inspected 3 high-risk reservoirs in Zhongbaozhai, Shimawan and Qingjiazhai. Yuan Chunqing pointed out that the Wenchuan earthquake caused some dangerous situations in reservoirs, which is the biggest potential safety hazard at present. Therefore, we must take effective measures to prevent and mitigate earthquakes and reinforce the damaged reservoirs as an important task in disaster relief and prevention of secondary disasters. We must earnestly strengthen monitoring, eliminate hidden dangers, prevent secondary disasters and ensure the safety of people’s lives and property.
