新闻评论是报纸的灵魂和旗帜。评价一家报纸的思想水平,我们往往首先看其新闻评论的水平。但近年来,不少报纸,尤其是地市级报纸,新闻评论成了弱项,并常有“断炊”之虞。造成这种情况的原因很多,但其中重要的一点是新闻评论队伍青黄不接,特别是作为正规军的记者,写新闻评论不多。很多记者误认为,记者主要从事消息、特写、通讯、报告类的采写,撰写新闻评论是评论员、编辑和总编们的事。所以,很多记者不大写新闻评论,有的记者进新闻单位好几年了,还不会写新闻评论。 新闻界通常有一种看法:不会写新闻评论的人不能算一个合格的新闻工作者;不写新闻评论的人不能算一个称职的新闻工作者。这就要求,记者不但要会写新闻评论,还要多写新闻评论,写新闻评论本是记者的题中之义。人民日报社社长邵华泽在《党报新闻
