I.Life and WorkrnLin Zhichun(林志纯,1910-2007,henceforth referred to as Lin,but popularly known by his pen name of Ri Zhi),was a famous historian of ancient world history in China.B in Fujian,he was enrolled in The Great China University in 1939 as a junior college student,and became an undergraduate in 1941.Lin probably knew what he would do after graduation and let English,Russian and Latin in the university.1
