1990年7月16日至20日,大学外语教材编审委员会综合大学英语编审组在浙江省湖州市召开了本年度编委与《大学英语》各教程主编的联席会议。编审组成员除两位因故请假外都出席了会议。教委高教司外语处杨埙同志参加了15日召开的预备会议。在预备会上,编审组成员向外语处领导汇报了有关专业阅读阶段的教学和测试等问题。鉴于目前大部分院校还不具备全面开设专业阅读课的条件,已开设的效果也不够理想等现实情况,编委们一致认为,各兄弟院校有必要根据自己的特长采取各种办法做到大学英语四年不断线。例如:专业课程采用原版教材;专业课指定英语参考书;学生写毕业论文时必须阅读一定量的英语资料并译成汉语;用5—6级教材继续打基础;开设口语、听力,高级阅读理解等选修课,以巩固、提高学生
From July 16 to July 20, 1990, the College English Editing Committee of the College Foreign Language Textbook Editing Committee held a joint meeting of editors of this year and chief editors of “College English” in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Members of the editorial board attended the meeting except for the two requests for leave. Commissar Yang Liao, Foreign Language Division, Higher Education Division, attended the preparatory meeting held on the 15th. At the preliminary meeting, members of the editorial board reported to the leaders of the foreign language department about the teaching and testing of the professional reading stage. In view of the fact that most of the institutions do not yet have the conditions for a full-scale professional reading class and the effect they have not yet achieved, the editorial boarders agree that it is necessary for various fraternal schools to adopt various measures according to their own strengths College English four years of continuous line.
