作为江西省的重要工业城市,新余市坚持把发展职业教育和培养技能型人才作为一项核心工作来抓,不断提升职业教育资源整合能力,成功探索出一条政府主导、社会投资、自我积累、滚动发展的办学之路。目前有各级各类职业教育机构53个,在校生总数达7.5万人;高中阶段教育普及率达85.1%;中职与普高招生比例为85.2: 34.8、在校生比例为59:41;累计为全国各地培养和输送了各级各类技能型人才20余万人,被教育部专家誉为“新余现象”。
