石首市已成为湖北省汽车零部件工业比较集中,发展速度较快的县(市)之一,形成了四个方面的特色:一是技术特色。我们瞄准国际、国内先进技术水平,加快引进和嫁接改造,不断提高了工艺装备技术水平,如湖北汽车制动阀厂引进了日本、德国技术原型的轻、轿车液压阀总泵柔性加工生产线,建立了计算机辅助管理的先进的制动阀,真空助力器检测中心。二是产品特色。我们在汽车零部件产品发展上坚持系列化和深度开发原则,既注重质的提高,也注重量的扩大,形成了一批在全省和全国有影响的产品。三是群体特色。在汽车零部件工业发展过程中,我们坚持抓骨干、促群体,形成市直工业与乡镇工业、国有企业与私营企业竞相发展的格局。四是效益特色。在汽车零部件工业的发展中,我们坚持以培植“巨人”企业为重点,以提高经济效益为中心,使汽配行业成为我市的支柱财源和利税大户。我市二○○○年内发展汽车零部件工业的基本思路是:以全省支持东汽百万辆级汽车集团建设为契机,把我市汽车零部件工业推上一个新台阶。通过深化改革,扩大开放,加速技改,培植一批国内居领先地位的

In the development of the auto parts industry, we insist on focusing on fostering “giants” and focusing on improving economic efficiency, making the auto parts industry a major source of financial resources and large profits for the city.
