覆盖和收视优势明显 江西电视台已经实现了有线和无线台的合并,形成了一台五频道的新格局:一套为新闻综合频道,全天播出19小时。1997年元月1日起用亚洲2号卫星传送信号播出,覆盖全国及周边国家和地区。二套为都市频道,三套为经济生活频道,四套为影视频道,五套为公共频道。 覆盖面是电视台生存的基础,目前江西卫视已经覆盖全国四个直辖市、24个重点省会城市和计划单列市还覆盖全国800个县级以上城市,有效覆盖人口超过2亿。特别值得注意的是,江西电视台在拓展覆盖范围时,比较注重覆盖的质量,比如华中重要
