1980年的联大维也纳外交会议通过了由联合国国际贸易法委员会(UNCITRAL)起草的《联合国国际货物销售合同公约》,简称《1980年维也纳公约》(以下称为《公约》)。截止1989年4月1日,已有中、法、意、美等10多个国家正式加入《公约》。《公约》的主要内容是关于国际货物买卖合同的订立及基于合同而产生的买卖双方的权利和义务。它是国际货物买卖领域中一个重要的多边国际公约,对缔约各国间的贸易往来将产生积极而深远的影响。
The 1980 UN General Assembly Vienna Diplomatic Conference adopted the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods drafted by UNCITRAL, or “the 1980 Vienna Convention” (hereinafter referred to as the “Convention”) for short. As of April 1, 1989, more than 10 countries including China, France, Italy and the United States have officially acceded to the Convention. The main contents of the Convention are the rights and obligations of buyers and sellers arising from the conclusion of contracts for the international sale of goods and from the contract. It is an important multilateral international convention in the field of the international sale of goods and will have a positive and far-reaching impact on the trade between the member states.
