上饶市一中党支部在社会主义精神文明建设中,注意发挥共产党员的模范作用。该校党支部十分重视党员的政治理论学习,近年来,组织党员系统地学习马列主义、毛泽东著作,学习《邓小平文选》,学习《准则》和新党章,提高了党员的共产主义思想觉悟,并能运用批评与自我批评的武器,对各种非无产阶级思想进行坚决的斗争,站在防止精神污染的前列。支委们严以律己,从不搞特殊化。从不利用职权谋私利,招生也从不“开后门”。他们吃苦在前,勇挑重担,有的兼课、代课,有的带病工作,有的晚上治病,白天照样上班。干部以身作则端正党风,对学校风气的转变影响很大。今年上半年征收女兵,指标到校后,时间紧迫,支委半夜分头到住在校外的教工家里去办理登记手续。有位教师住处偏僻,半夜听到敲门声,当知道事情原委时,激动得热泪盈眶,逢人便说:“有的干部为子女参军、招工开后门,我们学校的干部却把这样的好事送上门。”去年年初,有位老教师病危住院抢救,校党支部安排党员、干部轮流守护在病人身旁达七天七夜。这件事在校内和社会上引起了良好的反响。
