Objective To investigate the application value of modified mattress suture in reducing hemorrhage after cesarean section. Methods 130 cases of cesarean section were selected from September 2012 to December 2014. According to the principle of random distribution, the patients were divided into modified group and control group. The control group was treated with B-Lynch suture. The modified group was treated with modified mattress suture. All the patients were followed up for 1 year. The levels of serum sex hormones, bleeding and complications were statistically analyzed. Results The bleeding volume and the incidence of major bleeding at 2, 12 and 24 h after operation in the modified group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of preoperative and postoperative serum sex hormones and complications P> 0.05). Conclusion Improved mattress suture can effectively reduce the amount of bleeding and bleeding after cesarean section, ovarian function without adverse effects on the body, and does not increase the risk of complications.
