Photon counting is a measure of weak signal detection means it is developed in the seventies spectrum detection technology. The ZeSe crystal is excited using a continuous light source and a pulsed laser, and the optical signal is detected with a photon counter. It was found that when pulsed laser excitation caused spectral distortion.
