语文新课标中明确规定了不同学段学生课外阅读总量的要求,对于小学生而言,从一、二年级的不少于5万字,三、四年级课外阅读总量不少于40万字,到五、六年级的不少于100万字,可见仅靠课本上数量有限的文章,是无法满足学生阅读需求的。课外阅读作为语文课堂教学的延伸和补充,是语文教学的有机组成部分。然而牧区孩子的阅读状况总的看来并不好,年轻家长的文化水平参差不齐,且忙于放牧,部分孩子由文化水平较低的爷爷
