The authors retrospectively analyzed the chest radiographs and hemodynamic data of 47 patients with decompensated, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (BPCO) to understand the sensitivity and specificity of the chest radiograph in the diagnosis of left ventricular decompensation. There were 35 males and 12 females, with an average age of 63.9 years (range 43-75).
