在从前,提起美展来,总是使人想到秋天。秋,是可以称之为美术的季节的。但是,以日本画而论,以秋季展出为主的“日展”、“院展”、“创画会”等等,却都要另外在春天举行一次称之为“春季展”的小型展览。这种展览,也都分别选定百货大楼作为各自的展出会场。方式这么相同,使人很感兴趣,这也可以说是一种流行的风尚吧! 在秋天展出的是“大作”。而春天,则搞一个练笔的前哨战。也是年轻作者的一种学习会。这一点,也令人深感兴趣。
