多元文化教育是由西方学者首先提出的,包括文化多样性教育、多民族教育、妇女教育、残疾人教育、生态平等教育等丰富内涵,其目的在于不同群体、不同民族的教育平等以及多元文化的和谐共荣。然而,多元文化教育在中国本土化发展的历程中却被等同于少数民族教育或多民族教育。为此,我们需要追溯其历史源流,理清脉络,以准确把握多元文化教育丰富内涵,促进多民族文化传承发展、多元文化和谐共荣。
Multicultural education is first proposed by Western scholars and includes rich contents such as cultural diversity education, multi-ethnic education, women’s education, education for the handicapped, and education for the benefit of the people. Its purpose lies in the education equality among different groups and peoples, as well as multiculturalism Harmonious and common prosperity. However, multicultural education is equivalent to minority education or multi-ethnic education in the course of its development in China. To this end, we need to trace its origins and clarify the context, so as to accurately grasp the rich connotation of multicultural education, promote the multi-ethnic cultural heritage and development, and promote the coexistence of diverse cultures.
