云南大叶种茶树主杆明显、分枝部位高;叶色绿、叶质软、叶肉肥厚;芽肥状、茸毛多、育芽能力强,但抗寒能力较弱。制红茶香高味浓、品质优异。我县1970年后从云南省云县、宝山等地先后引进种子1950担、在龙江、转湾、荆竹、湾头桥、邓家铺等五个区种植3460余亩。1975年湖南农学院茶叶专业王建国教授等一行到我县对云南大叶种生长的情况进行实地调查、分析,认为对云南大叶种的引种基本成功。现又已
