×50型货车中梁由两根长13.11米的450毫米工字钢组成。这类工字钢的长度多不超过10米,必须用两段拼接起来。过去各种型钢的拼接多采用45°的斜接(如图1a),这样的接头形式不仅浪费钢材、焊条和人工,而且组对也较困难。我们认为基于现有的焊接技术水平,只要遵守正确的焊接工艺和严格的质量检验,采用平接(图1b)是完全合理的。并已于生产中广泛应用。
