【设计理念】
英语学习本是一段奇妙精彩的旅程,学生从感受懵懂到感知意会最后悟行意用,其间的历程就是语言学习的真谛所在。我们的英语课堂应给学生创设一次次好奇与期待的行程,教师“导游”的角色在于引,引学生“游客”胜景处留足,顺势而指,探秘之心留于“游客”,引其勃勃然而神往之,欣欣然而言行之,没有烦躁,没有疲乏,只有同行后的意犹未尽,这才是精妙的教学之旅。
源于此,依据2011版英语新课标理念,强调语境、语意和语用的重要性,重视教学中的合作互助和文化渗透,遵循本次教学展评的研究主题“研究课程标准,改进教学行为”,本节课的设计思路是紧扣英语俱乐部这条主线,活动展开以小组合作互助为抓手,以引导学生感知英语俱乐部、激情入会闯关、了解俱乐部成员、享受英语俱乐部游戏乐趣、身临异国交友文化、制作英语俱乐部会员手册等六大环节串联本课教学。整个教学过程重视英语俱乐部这个语境创设的真实性,注重语言生成环境的生活化,关注语言背景文化的渗透与延伸,综合提升学生的语言运用力和英语后续学习力。
【教学目标】
本课教学内容为译林版《牛津小学英语》5B Unit 9 The English Club A板块。作为本单元阅读教学的第一课时,根据学生的认知水平和现有基础,本课教学目标制定如下:
1.知识目标:在教学内容的逐步呈现中,在师生有效互动中学生熟练掌握并运用单词:the UK、British、the USA、American、France、French、city、country、visit、visitor;熟练掌握四会句型:Where are you from?及其答语I’m from... I’m...Do you speak...?及其答语Yes,I do.I speak...,too./No,I don’t.I speak...,并能在一定的语境中正确、灵活运用,达成语意。
2.技能目标:在对语境的感知体悟中培养学生较好的英语语感与英语思维习惯;学会交流分享学习成果,逐步形成用英语思维和做事情的能力和习惯。
3.情感目标:在师生互动中以激励为主激发并维持学生英语学习的动机与兴趣,形成学生的自信意志;在生生交流中培养学生合作互助意识和友好沟通能力;在对各国风土人情的欣赏、陶冶中丰富学生生活经历,增进对异域文化的了解,发展学生的跨文化意识和跨文化交际能力。
【教学过程与意图】
Step 1感知英语俱乐部
(课前播放视频:教师参加英语俱乐部的情景,以及与外国友人的一些照片,伴背景音乐,学生欣赏)
T:Do you like my photos?Guess,who are they?Yes,they’re all my good friends.Do you want to make friends with them?OK,follow me,let’s step into the English club.(呈现课题)
Look,this is an English club.(课件呈现:教师参加英语俱乐部的照片,teach:cup→club→the English club)

Step 2激情入会闯关

Step 3了解俱乐部成员

T:So we’re all visitors.Adding“or”,can you read?(课件呈现:visitor参观者)

So from here we know the visitor is Tony White,he’s from the USA,he lives in New York,he speaks English,perhaps he speaks Chinese,we aren’t sure.
