近年来,冬暖型塑料大棚在各地蓬勃兴起,它对增加晚冬早春的蔬菜供应,丰富人们的菜篮子,起到了很大作用。我所从1992年开始在冬暖型塑料大棚内进行玉米自交系加代、繁亲和配制杂交种的试验,均获得了成功。通过田间调查和室内考种,大棚内玉米除生育期较春播的长10—15天外,其它的经济性状如穗长、穗粒数、千粒重等均有所增加。不仅如此,这种加代法比去海南岛可以节省大量的人力、财力,是北方玉米加速育种进程的有效办法。现就其栽培技术总结如下: 一、选棚:塑料大棚增温保温效果的好坏,是玉米加代成功与否的关键。因而,要选择增温保温效果好、棚架结构比较高的大棚进行种植。其中尤以节能型日光塑料大棚最为理想。
