地处滇西边疆的盈江县弄璋糖厂于1966年正式投产,当时日处理甘蔗500吨。经过三十多年的发展,弄璋糖厂已发展成为日处理2000吨甘蔗,年产白糖2万吨的中型企业。工厂1995年实现利税3604万元,1996年在全国制糖企业大面积亏损的形势下,弄璋糖厂取得实现利税1438万元的优异成绩,企业经营已步入良性循环轨道。随着“八五”末蔗糖业在全国范围内进行东糖西移的有产转移,云南省制定了“九五”末实现产糖140万吨的宏伟目标,盈江县制定了“九五”末实现甘蔗入榨量80万吨,产白砂糖80000吨,酒精8000吨的“三八”工程。这一切都为弄璋糖厂的5000吨
