男,1934年1月生于大连市。50年代,因工作需要和组织培养,先后于中央军委俄专、第四军医大学、大连医学院3所高等院校本科毕业。历任《医学与哲学》杂志社社长,《医师进修杂志》、《实用护理杂志》、《中国心身医学》杂志主编,大连理论医学研究所所长,中央卫生部政策与管理研究专家委员会委员,国际心身医学会亚洲部会副会长,主任医师、教授。 刘增垣教授长期从事临床医学、理论医学、医学哲学、医学伦理学、心身医学研究。对新学科建设,特别是对心身医学分会的筹备组建、学科发展、学术研究、人才培养方面作
