在批林批孔运动深入发展的大好形势下,一机部设计总院委托上海机电设计院在上海召开了冲天炉“三化”(完善化、定型化、系列化)会议。参加会议的有来自全国十九个省市,包括三十四个工厂、十五个设计研究院所、十九个大专院校和有关主管部门的代表92人。会议始终联系实际狠批林彪、孔老二宣扬的“上智下愚”、“天命论”以及“洋奴哲学”、爬行主义等反动谬论。代表们一致认为,在毛主席革命路线指引下,特别自无产阶级文化大革命以来,在冲天炉化铁方面,如曲线炉膛小风口冲天炉、热风炉胆、电磁配铁秤、单轨半自动加料机、料位自动控制
