This patent describes a method for the production of uni-directional silicon steel with a magnetic permeability of at least 1850 (G / Oe) at 10 Oersteds. The usual production processes for oriented silicon steel containing 2.6-4.0% Si include hot rolling, cold rolling twice, annealing before each cold rolling and high temperature texturing annealing.
