大湾遗址位于中国香港特别行政区离岛区南丫岛西岸东西走向的沙堤上,东、西、北三面被丘陵山地环抱,南濒海湾,其东、西有两岬角,遗址呈马鞍形。遗址于1932—1936年被发掘,1979年做过小规模抢救发掘,均有资料发表。1990年11月1日—12月20日,香港中文大学中国考古艺术研究中心与广州中山大学人类学系合作,发掘面积为315.75平方米,分为四个发掘区,其中Ⅱ区未发掘,
The site of Dawan is located on the sand embankment on the east and west of Lamma island in the island area of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China. On the three sides of the east, west and north, surrounded by hills and mountains, it borders the bay to the south and has two headlands to the east and west. The site is saddle-shaped. The site was excavated in 1932-1936, made a small-scale rescue excavation in 1979, all have information published. From November 1 to December 20, 1990, the Chinese Archaeological Art Research Center of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, in collaboration with the Department of Anthropology, Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, excavated an area of 315.75 square meters and was divided into four excavation areas, of which Area II was not explored,
