Dear Editor,rnInflammatory pain,such as arthritic pain,is a common health problem worldwide.Inflammatory pain is generally treated by opioids and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs including cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors.However,side-effects limit the analgesic efficiency of current treatments and there is an urgent need to develop novel strategies for treatment.
