Preparation and electrochemical responses to nitric oxide (NO) of a platinum electrode modified with Nation-Cu (Ⅱ) L (L=1,8-diethanol-1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 13-hexaaza-14-cmwaa-4) are studied. The platinum electrode based on films of Cu (Ⅱ) L~(2+) and Nafion is found to show a low detection limit, high selectivity and sensitivity to NO determination. Nafion film was employed as a carrier of Cu (Ⅱ) L~(2+) and a barrier against some endogenous electroactive substances in biological tissues, such as ascordic acid (AA), L-arginine and nitrite (NO_2~-). In phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.4), the NO oxidation current measured by 1.5 order differential linear sweep voltammetry and the NO concentration showed a linear relationship in the range of 1.4×10~(-5)~2.8×10~(-7)mol/L.
