Anodic layer and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) of Pb-Ag-Nd anodes with different microstructure have been investigated by employing cyclic voltammetry, cathodic reduction and quasi-stationary potential dynamic test.At Pb/PbSO4 potential region, cast anode facilitates the formation of PbSO4 due to its larger amount of grain and interdentritic boundaries.Consequently,at potential region of OER,a larger amount of PbSO4 on cast anode transforms to PbO2.Anodic layer adherent on cast anode is the thickest, followed by cross-section,whereas that on flattening section is thinnest.Tafel test reveals that cast anode has a higher OER activity which may be ascribed to more PbO2 presenting on the anodic layer.Cross-section and flattening section show similar OER activity.
