　　The anomalous atmospheric circulation over the west Pacific has great impacts on the climate of East Asia.The monthly reanalysis data of NCEP/NCAR and SST data from the Hadley Center are applied to reveal the temporal variations in the atmospheric response to the El Nifo events over the western north Pacific (WNP) region since the 1950s which is characteristic of the buildup of the Anomalous Western North Pacific anticyclones (WPAC).
