Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD),including ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohns disease (CD),is a chronic disorder of the gastrointestinal tract with increasingly high incidence rate and prevalence rate[1],but currently the etiology of IBD is not fully understood[2].Celastrol,an active ingredient extracted from Trypterygium wilfordii Hook F.,is well known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects[3;4].
