  The structure and the hardness of the low carbon steel part based on the rapid prototyping technique of powder plasma arc welding were studied.The deposition experiments were done on the parent metal Q235 with the technique of plasma arc welding,the FeNiCrBSiMoNbRe alloy powder was chosen as welding material.The suitable welding parameters were optimized.The structure and the hardness were analyzed.The results of the experiments shown that the microstructure of the weld seam was austenite and δ-ferrite.The grain in the last layer was coarse.,but the grain in the middle layers were fine because every lay in the middle suffered heat affecting of the following layers,So multi-layer welding was help to improve the weld seam microstructure,fine the grain and gained quality structure part.The hardness test shown that substrate hardness was the lowest,The middle weld seam was softened because of the back weld seam temper to the front,and the hardness of the surface layer was the highest,approached to the real hardness of the welding material.
