Inspired by Nature, the construction of various supramolecular systems to mimic the catalysis of enzymes has been the subject of intensive research for decades in supramolecular chemistry. However,to achieve enzymes’ efficiency and exquisite sterocontrol by a synthetic supramolecular system has remained elusive despite of tremendous progresses in supramolecular chemistry in general.1,2 The reason may be due to the usually nontrivial synthetic efforts in constructing the chiral supramolecular systems as well as the frequently encountered failures in converting the exquisite recognition properties of the deliberately designed host-guest system into catalytic turnovers.Clearly, the delicate balances between recognition and catalysis, which have been practiced in nature for billions of years, are still poorly understood in the context of supramolecular system.
