Objective: To evaluate the feasibility and safety of a routine regional lymphadenectomy and the incidence, site, and impact on survival of lymph node metastases in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) amenable to curative liver resection.Methods: A total of 471 HCC patients undergoing curative hepatic resection and routine regional lymphadenectomy from January 2001 to December 2005 were included in this study.Incidence, site, and influence on the survival of node metastaseswere analyzed.
