Triterpenes in Betula Platyphlla suk.have vital activities of anti-HIV and anti-tumor,and the active components of white birch triterpenes(betulin,oleanolic acid,damareneglycol)and the sterol came from 2,3-oxidesqualene,the common precursor in MVA pathway.Based on the metabolic pathway of triterpenes in white birch,we intend to clone the gene of cycloartenol synthase(BPX)and to perform the bioinformatics analysis.Meanwhile RNAi expression vectors of CAS gene being constructed by different methodswere transforming into white birch seedlings.
