Plant Nramp gene families play an important role in the tolerance to heavy metals stress.In this study,we cloned and identified a natural resistance-associated macrophage protein 6(SaNramp6)gene in the heavy metal hyperaccumulating plant Sedum alfredii,and analyzed its function in transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana.The results showed that the SaNramp6 gene has an open reading frame in the 1638 bp cDNA,which encodes a 545 amino acids.
