Grain boundary can significantly affect the various properties of materials.Due to the symmetry broken, the determination of the atomic structure of grain boundary has been a long-standing problem and is really non-trivial.Usually, the state-of-art first principles method can be used to optimize the atomic structure, however, the searching of the grain boundary structure is usually too complicate and too heavy for the direct use of the first principles method.
