  The validity of action recognition directly depends on action features and recognition algorithms.In order to compare different kinds of features and approaches in unified environment and quantitatively analyze the advantage and weakness of the algorithm.This paper researches on human action recognition using algorithms of 1-Nearest Neighbor(1NN)and Hidden Markov Model(HMM)combining features of global flow,global silhouette,local flow and local silhouette.We not only introduce,compare and analyze the algorithms as well as the relevant features all tested on the weizmann database,but also summarize the recognition effects according to the results based on different algorithms and features so as to provide references in the future.
