A new flavonoid glycoside, Diosmetin 7-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl (1-6)-β-D-glucopyranoside namedas raddeanalin, was isolated from the extracts of the leaves ofsalix raddeana laksh.together withthree known compounds, kaempferol -3-O-glucoside(2),quercetin -3-O-glucoside(3),quercetin-3-O-rutinoside(4). Its structure was established by thespectral data and chemicalproperties. Salix raddeana Laksh belongs to Salix family and is distributed in the area of Changbaimountain of East-north China. Its leaves is as a Chinese folk medicine far antibecterium anddiminishing inflammation and especially useful in curing stamotitise. As part of our continuinginvestigation on the flavanoid constituents of Salix spieces, we have examined the leaves of Salixmalsudana Kaidz and Salix babylonica.L and report here the isolation and suvcture elucidationof a new flavonoid glycosides from the leaves of Salix raddeana Laksh.
