In this Paper, the author tries to carry out a discussion on the teaching of the "Extensive English Reading Textbook I" in the higher learning schools from the perspective of the presentation and demonstration skills.First of all, the presentation and demonstration skills are taking advantage of the real things or the pictures to be introduced as the guidance in the reading of the TEXTI1.Secondly, the demonstration of the movements is utilized to make an expansion to the contents of the textbook.Third, the figures as well as the tables are applied to give explanation to all kinds of the reading skills.Through the introduction on these aspects, it is expected that a change can be made to the boring, unattractive and dull teaching model of English reading course of the previous time, in which the students were in a passive position all the times.
