Fabrication of an advanced ceramic coating on carbon steel has been extensively used to improve the performances of the substrate.However,owing to the different thermal expansion coefficient between ceramic coating and metallic substrate,the severe stress build up at the interface will occur,which would result in crack and a subsequent premature failure of the coating.
